Aims

The Fellowship of European Evangelical Theologians was founded to promote evangelical theology in Europe in a spirit of loyalty to the Bible. By this it seeks to serve the renewal of theological thinking in our churches.

Its specific aims therefore include the following:

  • to stimulate and encourage theological study and research in Europe, by conferences, consultations and correspondence;
  • to share information about theological developments, conferences, education and publication of evangelical theological literature;
  • to encourage the publication of evangelical theological literature;
  • to encourage the formation of nationally-based groups for theological study and research;
  • to promote theological thinking in local churches and in practical enterprises (e.g. missions and evangelism);
  • to open up relationships with comparable fellowships of evangelical theologians and theological institutions.
